The Buying Process

1 - Do Some Research by Visiting Us Online

You've just taken the first step to owning the home of your dreams from Heritage Homes Group. Browse our website and view our floorplans, communities and photos. Save your favorites by creating a My Favorites profile. Have a specific question? Our Internet Sales Associate is ready and waiting to answer any questions you may have. They can also schedule an appointment for you at any of our spectacular new home communities.

2 - Visit A Heritage Homes Group Community

Here's your opportunity to have a personalized tour of our our award-winning homes, neighborhoods and decorated models. A Heritage Sales Representative will help to introduce you to the community, the exceptional homes, and the lifestyle. Our Sales Team will work with you, one-on-one, to help you select the perfect homesite and home for you and your family.

3 - Select a Homesite & Floorplan

This is where dreams become reality! It's time to select the floorplan that best meets your family's needs and desires. You'll also choose your favorite homesite. While every Heritage community is unique, all offer a wide variety of floorplans, elevations and homesites.

4 - Make If Official - Reserve Your Lot with a Refundable Deposit

To reserve your favorite homesite and prevent anyone else from buying it - we request a $1,000 fully refundable deposit. You'll have plenty of time to review all documents and selections before signing an Agreement of Sale.

5 - Build Your Heritage Dream Home on Paper

Here's where the excitement really starts building - literally! You'll meet with your Heritage Sales Representative and "build your Heritage dream home on paper." Together, you'll review the many included luxury features in your new home, and also be able to personalize your new home with many options. No other builder allows as many customization options as Heritage Homes. You'll create a truly customized home...at a surprisingly affordable price.

6 - Agreement of Sale

Once you've had a chance to review and approve your dream home on paper, it's time to sign the Agreement of Sale. Your Heritage Sales Representative will be with you every step of the way to review all paperwork and to answer any questions you may have. Along with signing the Agreement of Sale, a down-payment is required (community and mortgage loan specific.) You'll also make all structural selections at this time.

7 - Mortgage Application

Immediately after signing your Agreement of Sale, you must apply for a loan with a reputable mortgage company or financial institution (unless you are paying for your new home in cash). Please see Mortgage Financing Process for more details.

8 - Design Center Selections Appointment

This is the fun part of building a new home - personalizing your new home to make it uniquely yours. You'll also be able to select from a fabulous array of options and upgrades to create the home you've always wanted. In a Heritage Design Center, wishes really do come true!

9 - Construction Begins On Your New Heritage Home

Once the paperwork is done, construction will begin. Expect weekly phone calls to update you on the progress of your new home. Your Heritage Sales Representative and Community Builder will keep you fully apprised of every major development during construction. Have questions? We promise you answers. For a more detailed look at how your Heritage Home will be built, see the Construction Process.

10 - Settlement Is Here

Upon completion of construction and all inspections, it's time to close on your new home. Once all documents have been signed, you'll be handed the keys to your new Heritage home...where your family will grow and thrive...new traditions will be started...and lifelong memories will be formed. Welcome Home!
