The Construction Process

1 - Pre-Construction Meeting with Heritage Sales Representative and Community Builder

This is when the fun begins! You'll meet with Heritage team members to review the floorplan and selections for your new home. As part of Heritage's commitment to keeping you informed, we'll provide you with an estimated timeline for all major components of construction and for the completion of your new home. Together, we'll set up a convenient time each week when we can call you to review the status of your home's construction and to answer any questions.

Throughout the construction period, each home must numerous Township inspections, as well as Heritage inspections to assure the quality and integrity of your new home. Heritage takes great pride in build your dream home.

3 - Basement is Dug; Foundation is Poured

After permits are obtained, the construction process begins in earnest. At this time, we install the footing and pour the foundation.

4 - Home is Framed

Here, you'll see your home take shape. These are the "bones" of your home. Framing includes the installation of roofing shingles, exterior doors, house wrap, and windows. We'll also be working inside your home during this stage to install the plumbing, high-efficiency HVAC, electrical, media systems, utilities, and fireplace.

Once again, you'll meet with your Heritage team to walk through your new home for a peek "behind the walls". You'll review the framing, electrical locations and more.

All of your personal choices are being added at this stage: cabinets, flooring, countertops and more. These selections help make your home uniquely yours.
Outside, we'll be putting the finishing touches on sidewalks, driveway and landscaping.

8 - Pre-Settlement Orientation

You're dream home is almost yours! You'll walk through your home one last time with your Heritage team to learn how to use the appliances, the heating and cooling systems, and more. At this time, we'll answer any questions you may have about your new home and how to best maintain it. We'll also review our industry-leading warranty program.

9 - Settlement

Welcome home! The day you've been waiting for is here. You'll review and sign the final documents, and be given the keys to your new Heritage home.
